Shy Sun

8"x10" Oil on linen canvas board.

This little sunflower came from the same pack of seeds as the large mammoth I previously posted.  It's possible that there is a sprinkler head on the other side of the fence near the larger bloom.  At any rate, there is beauty in every phase of every bloom.  This one is not quite fully open.  It sort of looks shy.

Take a Bow

SOLD

8"x10" Oil on linen board.

This was the tallest of our 2012 sunflower crop that we planted along the driveway beside the neighbors' fence.  It stood about ten feet tall and put on quite a show, which ended with this deep and graceful bow.

Waning Sunflower

SOLD

6"X6" Oil on stretched canvas.

Yellow is a happy, friendly color. Sunflowers seem happy, even as they are waning.
